Whatevery you do, do not speak to a lawyer. You are more likely goign to loose even more money Read the fine print of the contract and you will see why. Maybe negotiate a deal / voucher for future installation - for eg. G5 + GFC500, that is, if you can still trust them to do the job.

True. But that requires building a relationship with the shop before handing over the plane. I took my 252 to three different avionics shops before settling on one. I also got opinions from my AI with

All I can say is if everyone has to get an A&P just to own an airplane we're going to see the pilot population drop even more precipitously than it has already.

Just in case any of you wanted to feel better about your experiences. My aircraft is STILL down @ Silverhawk at KLNK until at least next Tuesday now....it’s made it home for one night since the end of February. What a nightmare, pretty sure they can build a Mooney faster.
