skydvrboy
Getting serious about starting my instrument training. Does anyone have an set of IFR course DVD's that they would be willing to part with?
kortopates
DVD’s are yesterday. The popular course are all online and app based. Check out King schools and Sporty’s - the most popular 2. You want current material don’t you? IIRC about $200.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
skydvrboy
@kortopates Serious question for a seasoned CFI, has instrument flying changed enough that the older DVD's are outdated? If so, I'll certainly bite the bullet and go for the current material. If it's the same material, but just in a different format, I can dig out the old DVD player. The test has, which is what the ground course is preparing you for. The content is geared to the test, not really flying.Instrument flying has been overtaken by GPS procedures but unlike the written you'll only be tested on what equipment you have in the plane when you do your checkride.
