Broken prop control cable

I went out for one last flight before my annuel was do and on the run up I cycled my prop and the control cable broke in two and pulled right out of my insturment panel.  So much for one last flight..  Where can I get another prop control cable? 67 M20c Thanks.

This is what is used by most shops I think. It's what's in my plane. Spruce has it as a Cessna part, but it's actually pretty universal.

 Is it frayed and worn or did it separate at the armature? Prop cable might seem surprisingly short if your not familiar with the set up.

Texas Air Salvage is parting out a 65M20C which has the same assembly. Although I don't know if they still have it.
