There is a lot of interest and another date not competing with a holiday would be good. Or, keep everything as is and let’s do another one next week! Sounds good, next week is doable, weather dependent.
Hank Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 This morning could certainky be better. I'll be alone next Saturday ifnthe weather's half decent.
Richard Knapp Posted April 20, 2019 Author Report Posted April 20, 2019 Weather looks pretty marginal to me. What do you guys think?
Richard Knapp Posted April 20, 2019 Author Report Posted April 20, 2019 We are heading up. We’ll be a few minutes late. I figure we will have a nice date if nobody else flies in. If any of you do that would be awesome.
rbridges Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 Apples and oranges, but Cobb county was 1200 ceilings with winds right down 27.
Culver LFA Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 Still raining here, terrible soggy weather... Who’s in for KPIM next Saturday the 27th, 11:30?

Arthur Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 When you think you are ready. Call Jimmy at All American aircraft in Spring Branch Tx. He always seems to have a few in stock and he (or Dave) will fly with you to acquaint you with the a/c. Bonus is just a short hop to the Mooney factory in Kerville'
Richie the C Posted April 21, 2019 Report Posted April 21, 2019 Don’t do it. Find yourself a well maintained 201. I’ve owned my 231 for 16 years and have replaced practically every part on the plane, some parts multiple times. It’s been a maintenance nightmare.
MooneyPoor Posted April 23, 2019 Report Posted April 23, 2019 Is the KPIM meetup this Saturday still on?

kpaul Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 Unfortunately I'm out. I am flying a little further east to the Savannah area to see my son and his fiance.
Culver LFA Posted April 24, 2019 Report Posted April 24, 2019 @Kris_Adams How's this Saturday look for you?
Richard Knapp Posted April 24, 2019 Author Report Posted April 24, 2019 I have out of town company coming in from Ohio, so won’t be able to make it.

Weren't you the REAL reason we were getting together for lunch? I'm still planning on being there tomorrow, we'll just have to do it again when you are available! If anyone is interested in doing something before or after lunch, WWII Heritage Days will be going on this weekend at Falcon Field/Peachtree City. "That's All Brother", P-51 rides, stuff like that. https://wwiidays.org/d-day-75th-anniversary/
Richard Knapp Posted April 27, 2019 Author Report Posted April 27, 2019 Yes, Culver LFA, I did get this started, but last weekend had bad weather. There was such enthusiasm I just laid low on the rescheduling cause it wasn’t really about me anyway, (though I was looking forward to meeting you guys!). When I get another free weekend, I’ll pipe up again. I did get a good talk about M20K‘s and learned a bunch. 1
