Perhaps we could fly our C to Texas and hop a ride in your 252 to the race. How long before retirement I'm already there.

Damn! I'm still out here bustin ass to get there. I'm hoping 5 years will get it done.

If this little thing I'm working on takes off... www.integris.io... I'm done.

The 252 and I are about to move to CO. So you'll have to keep going to Denver :)

Ah the TT.  My co-owner actually races in that race every year and has a number of bikes in the Isle of Man.  We fly there every year to drop him off and pick him up (so the plane is not sitting for a week in the middle of nowhere costing a fortune in landing and parking). Happy to take you across, next year perhaps?

Andrew

Okay. The perverbial dangling of the carrot in front of the mule.

When is next year's TT?

May take you up on that. :):)

One of my favorite photos of Ruben from "back in the day"

Really good first race of the season. Did not dissapoint. Ducati, Honda, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha top five.

Good stuff.

Formula One next week. 85% chance it will be boring. :):)

As I predicted, boring F1 race. I should have guessed 95%  haha

The 1.5 liter turbo era was pretty interesting as well. I remember reading an interview with Mike Schumacher where he was given the opportunity to drive Pat Tambays turbo f1 car and Micheal said it was terrifying. I seem to remember when they were in qualifying mode the engine could make as much as 2000hp

I am in Austin today, headed to the MotoGP race. Super excited. Honda will probably dominate today unfortunately, just like this morning's dominance by Mercedes in The F1 race.

Swag for everybody!

Just kidding.

Yep no point in watching the F1 now. Wish I could watch the Moto gp but no coverage as usual. We have an Amazon Fire stick but can't seem to get it to get the live feed.  Best race today will likely be the Indy cars at Long Beach. That track always seems to mix things up.

Okay. Race is about to start. Almost perfect weather.

Hope someone can keep up with the Hondas.

Flyover by four T5's or T-38's??

National Anthem sung.

that flyover looked like it was timed perfectly!

The track looked SOOOO ubumpy in the slow mo replays...

And the Old Bloke nearly did it again, super race.

Yes the flyover was spot on. Not only did they flybover, they also circled the complex and set up for approach to the nearby airport, which I didn't expect.

Good on the "Old Bloke"  The entire attitude of the spectators changed to the positive immediately when he took over the lead.

The bumps at the track are a result of the area. All, and I mean all the surrounding roads in the area are wavy and bumpy.

plus @gsxrpilot the TT is normally early June.

here you go.

fill your boots.

I'm normally there for race week, and Mark doesn't over gouge on the parking for what is the busiest week of the year for him. That said, I'm likely to miss this year with Oshkosh commitments.

A long time ago I did the Manx GP (amateur version of the TT) - and whilst a wonderful (and more expensive than flying!) experience I quickly learned I didn't have what it takes to be competitive there.  I have great respect for those that do ride there no matter where they finish, but never forget there can be downsides too

One of my favourite spotter pics come from the IoM!
