Brian Scranton Posted July 19, 2017 Report Posted July 19, 2017 Had a guy install a JPI450 fuel flow gauge...simple installation, no big deal. He put in an in-line fuse, didn't touch the bus board, wired to avionics master...and it sure does work! Problem is, my GEM is dead. WTF????? He thinks it might have blown a fuse on start up or during their battery-powered test. Nothing is easy, is it? Quote
Brian Scranton Posted July 19, 2017 Author Report Posted July 19, 2017 Turns out, they knocked the ground wire off while they were in there. Whew. Quote

Yetti Posted July 20, 2017 Report Posted July 20, 2017 I don't see how you could Knock off a properly crimped and wire supported ring terminal. Quote

I think when he went to add a wire to the ring terminal, he pulled the nut and saw the wires all remain in place--except for one! No biggy, just 1.5 hours of time trying to find the problem. What's cool? FUEL FLOW!!!! Woo hoo. What a creature comfort. Quote
