cnoe Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 Anyone know who has the best deal on a full set of gear discs these days? I just bought 8 from SkyGeek for $98.72 each + shipping (after discount). Put them in a cart for a few days then come back later and they'll give you a pop-up discount. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 2 Quote

1964-M20E Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 I prefer Cafe' Du Monde's beignets. They taste better and give you a superior ride over crispy cream and only contain calories on the 6th Wednesday of every month. 4 Quote

Dunkin' Donuts issued a Service Letter, while not mandatory they do recommend a stacking order of Red Icing, White Icing, Chocolate and Glazed for the mains and the same order for the nose with the elimination of the Red Icing. Personally I run All Chocolate on the Mains and Glazed on the Nose, seems to be much smoother landings, but who knows 1 Quote

Guest Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 Don't let Marauder's girls see those donuts, your airplane will never be the same again. Clarence Quote
PhilB Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 I was calling around to get a set and happened to call Lord about them. The but answered all my questions and then at the end of the conversation he asked where I was getting them from. I named a shop I had talked to and he told me "we only sell to AviAll. If you purchase them anywhere else you're paying at least two markups.". I had an affiliation with a shop that had an AviAll account and they let me order all 11 using their account. We were able to save a pretty good chunk! I don't remember how much and AviAll requires an account number to check prices and availability.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

With this information, and this is just my opinion, I want to consider that our small Mooney shops around the country (LASAR, Top Gun, Advanced Aircraft Services, Southwest Texas, Maxwell, etc,) need our support to continue servicing us and for them to stay in business and make a living. I do, of course, shop prices when I need parts, but I try to keep all of them in mind as they compete for our business. My thoughts only. 3 Quote

I ordered some from SkyGeek in 2014 and Aviall drop-shipped them to me. I've ordered them a few times from Aircraft Spruce before and about half the time they have them in stock, other times they are drop-shipped. Quote
XXX Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to represent the South. 4 Quote
