gsxrpilot Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 I'll be there this a few days this week. So I'll be hanging around the airport. If any Mooney drivers are around, I'm good for a tank of 100LL, beers at the pub, or both. Quote
Chocks Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 I want pictures of the crazy ass ferry tanks strapped to little airplanes for the "crossing" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
carusoam Posted April 9, 2017 Report Posted April 9, 2017 I went by boat a year or so ago... Good seafood, good Canadian beer, can't remember the other thing.... Best regards, -a- 2 Quote
kpaul Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 One of my favorite locations that I have flown into. Never in a Mooney though, only C-130 and PC-12. Great food and drink. Also check out the Titanic Museum on Signal Hill. 1 Quote

Bad idea. Fuel is insanely expensive there. Be careful about weather, wind, and icing. Not all that much to do there but a fun trip no less. It'll be an excuse to practice speaking Candian. LANCECASPER Posted April 10, 2017 Report Posted April 10, 2017 The Parrot couldn't go because he didn't have a passport? I bet he could talk his way into the country. Quote
Piloto Posted April 16, 2017 Report Posted April 16, 2017 Quite a place to visit, specially during winter. Always hazy and ice on the runway. I departed from CYYT to LPAZ enroute to LECU. Gander HF, NY Oceanic HF and Santa Maria HF have excellent signal coverage. Flying into CYYT from LPAZ against headwinds and ice at night was quite an experience that I will not forget. 1 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted April 16, 2017 Author Report Posted April 16, 2017 I was there on business and didn't fly the Mooney. I'll probably be back in July with the Mooney. I was there for two days and according to the locals, it was the best two days they'd had in about 9 months. It was sunny, blue skies, and about 65 degrees both days. Almost no one was in the office. Everyone took the day off, or called in sick, just to get out and enjoy the sun. Quote
