jetdriven Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 (edited) You always pay for the wife and you always pay for the plane, but never own them. But you can always sell the plane and get some of your money back.... Edited September 23, 2016 by jetdriven 1 Quote
Bravoman Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) cause your kitchen is ugly as heck! Edited September 24, 2016 by Bravoman Quote
N9201A Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 cause your kitchen is ugly as heck! In my experience, wife ends up with the house anyway, so that's OK. Quote
Pritch Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 Yep, been there done that, after I bought my first Mooney, had to buy the exwife a 1.76c diamond. 7 years later she got the house and I kept the Mooney, my life was HAPPY! Pritch Quote
INA201 Posted September 24, 2016 Author Report Posted September 24, 2016 My wife and I have had fun with this thread. I do agree with the do the house first now lol. Quote
wrench Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 Seams like my house caught the same disease, now that I think about it. Maybe our kitchen cabinet guy should have had before Mooney kitchen pictures and after Mooney kitchen pictures in the showroom. Caution, this behavior may apply in boats and hot rod purchases also. kpaul Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 This thread is killing me. Have had my Mooney for about 10 months, the kitchen remodel is about to begin. To be fair though, the kitchen in this house is the 1972 original and totally sucks. Quote
DonMuncy Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 I've redone several kitchens (as well as bathrooms). I enjoy working on construction stuff almost as much as working on the plane. Quote

I am dreading this one because it will have to include the living room as well since they are connected and the painted paneling must go. I just see the kitchen cutting into my weekends of flying. 1 Quote

The boss wants us to utilize the garage for the cars. Go figure! So I was appointed to build a shed. If its of any consolation I'll be thinking about you when I'm working on it and when I'm flying. Because it will not cut into my flying! Made that very clear to the boss and obtained approval! Quote

Yetti Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 If it is not too much paneling, we found that drywall mud in the cracks works really well. I have no idea what y'all are talking about? Current effort Quote
