Pictreed Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 I'm trying to record in-flight audio using a digital recorder but I'm getting a strong engine sound in the recording. Has anyone tried an attenuator for their recordings? Tim Quote
midlifeflyer Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 what are you using and how are you setting it up? I use a SONY recorder that I plug into the headphone jack along with my headset using an inexpensive splitter and adapter and get very clear audio. 1 Quote
N601RX Posted December 17, 2015 Report Posted December 17, 2015 I've used the Lightspeed Bluetooth app on my ipad and it is very clear. Quote
Pictreed Posted December 22, 2015 Author Report Posted December 22, 2015 I think I may have figured it out. There is an input setting and I think it was on the lower powered setting. I'm waiting for an opportunity to try it out. It is a Sony recorder. Quote

There is an input selection. If we have the same SONY, it's a "Scene" selection. Quote
Pictreed Posted December 23, 2015 Author Report Posted December 23, 2015 It's an ICD PX440. There is a recording filter with high am low cut. It has an input mode. I had it on MIC In but I'll try it on Audio In. I will be trying it out again Thursday. 1 Quote
