triple8s Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 I noticed a few days ago my headliner (96 O) has two or three places where the material is starting to come loose. It stays in a hangar out of the sun and I hate to go on a trip and have it set outside and come all the way loose. Has anyone had success maybe gluing it back up with a hypo needle? Anyone got any ideas??? Quote

LANCECASPER Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 Mooney used a Eurostretch wool fabric on the headliners in those years and the adhesive stops holding eventually. On a 1997 Mooney Encore I had thoughts of re-gluing the same material, but that didn't not prove successful, so I ordered three yards of this: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cspages/headlinerwool.php?clickkey=310688 I took the fiberglass headliner pieces and the fabric to a local upholstery shop and they did a great job. I replaced all of the eurostretch for $325 materials and labor. I now have a 2000 Ovation with the same issue. I'll eventually get around to doing the same. Quote
