jetdriven
That's actually a good point. I've found on a number of occasions that AircraftSpruce is actually much faster than they claim. In fact I have an order arriving today that I was told at checkout wouldn't arrive until next week. This is what Spruce says in this regard though. At noted the range markings are part of your aircraft type certificate amended by any STC's so its required. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/mech_tachs.php?clickkey=213904 "$35.50 for custom range marks (specify ranges, 45 day lead time). " -Robert I had a Mitchell tach. It broke on me 3 times and I sent it back. It never ran more than a couple hours. It's a lightweight crappy tach that the needle falls off in the first takeoff. , then it records too fast after a couple hours. Then they Refused to refund my money and I had to get spruce involved. The SLI tach I replaced it with is fine.
Dan M20E '66
My A&P is just wrapping up a panel upgrade on my 66 E, which includes replacement of the tach with an EI CGR 30P. If you're still in the market in a few weeks - after I've had a little time with the new stuff - I'll be able to offer the old analog tach (see photo)....
