Anything particular to watch out for/be aware of? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I thought there was supposed to be some sort of solar flare as well. If this is the case, make sure you are wearing SPF 300 sunscreen I'm not sure an eclipse will do anything other than darken the skies a bit and maybe thinking you are flying at dusk or night for a little bit. Yetti Posted March 18, 2015 Report Posted March 18, 2015 The EMP will take out every integrated circuit that has not been hardened. The good news is your engine will keep running due to the 1950s technology. Quote

I call this flying the horn! dont look at the sun! welders mask glass is all you need... ps lost my ticket for 6 months,,, but only because i admitted taking off int IMC!! So dont talk to the faa. 1964-M20E Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Your only worry is if you are flying the Solar Eclipse then you would be a glider. Quote
cnoe Posted March 21, 2015 Report Posted March 21, 2015 Caught this partial eclipse on my iPhone in late 2012. Wish I'd had a better camera on board. Post pics from your flight if you have them. Cnoe Quote
