carusoam Posted March 20, 2015 Report Posted March 20, 2015 That's why people like the other company. The one that has a fish printed on the instrument face... JPI makes some nice products, but... Best regards, -a- Quote
KSMooniac Posted March 20, 2015 Report Posted March 20, 2015 The previous owner of my plane got a piggyback probe from JPI in 2005. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk Quote
Mooney_Allegro Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 I just ordered the JPI M113-3/8 CHT Gasket Probe from Aircraft Spruce. When I asked why this wasn't offered to me back in 2010, sales advised that it wasn't available for a 4-cylinder at that time, only the 6 CYL version was available. Whether this is true or not, I don't know, but I'll be happy to have a more accurate reading for the #3 CHT for sure. Thanks Marauder, your cockpit video presentation made me spend $100+!! . Also thx to everyone else who added some comments. 1 Quote

Mykol Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Marauder, please include me among those that are interested! I am about to pursue an 830 and would certainly consider a nice used unit. Please pm me at jd5w@yahoo.com  thanks! Quote

The plane goes in for the annual at the end of the week and I have asked them to pull the JPI 830 early in the annual so I can get it packaged up for the new owner. Aerodon Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Just a question or two if you have a moment? I have already purchased an 830 and am about to install (w/ mechanic) ... It is an upgrade, have a 700 & 450 now. I noticed a switch EGT/ALL/FF. Can you tell me about that? I assume that is related to your JPI? Now I seem to recall reading something about it a while back ... Â While all the information is displayed all the time on the EDM830, the data is displayed in larger letters down at the bottom. Â The switch allows you to scroll between all, just FF and just temperatures. Â Useful when looking at just fuel flow. Â I tried one installation without this switch, and after a few starts the EDM 'forgot' that fuel flow was installed. Â Only way to get it working again was to install the switch and power it up with the switch in the FF position. Â Don Quote

By placing the switch in EGT, it will show only the engine EGT/CHT temps. If you put in FF, it will display the fuel items only on the scrolling line. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
carusoam Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Thought that was cash flow in $(USD), not gallons used... Too old for these high tech gadgets, -a- Quote
Marauder Posted May 6, 2015 Author Report Posted May 6, 2015 Hello All. My JPI 830 should be available by the end of the week (Monday or Tuesday at the latest). For those of you who have PM'd me about it, I will send you a PM to see if you are still interested in it. If you are interested in it and did not PM, send me a PM. Again, this is a JPI 830 that is about 21 months old with the following:  - a new set of CHT and EGT probes and harnesses- a new fuel flow sensor- a new tach sensor - a new OAT sensor- the oil pressure sensor will be pre-owned- the oil temperature sensor will be pre-owned- the MP sensor will be pre-owned  I'm looking to move it quickly, $1,800.
