jetdriven Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 For those of you that have a Mooney without a dorsal fin (or if yours is damaged) and the LASAR unit sounds expensive, here's a free factory one to rivet on. Just pay the freight. I hate to chop up airworthy parts. I haven't verified it but it should be the same part number. My buddy's 1964 M20E sure looks the same. Quote

Will PM you with my contact info. My 75F should have the same fuselage as the 77J. Quote

bonal Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 So do tell, what is the advantage of the dorsal I can see that it might add some stability in yaw does it give a boost in speed. Seems like most have them. Quote
Hank Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I've never seen a Mooney without one, although apparently they were not standard on all C's. But I have one . . . Quote
kerry Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 That's my favorite paint scheme on a Mooney vertical stabilizer. Quote
M204ever Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Bonal, like your window "extension". The fin, if GFRP material, covers the ELT antenna, nothing else. Quote
bonal Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I think the short body's look sleeker with out the fin IMHO. Thanks for the nice comments on the paint scheme. Quote
N6758N Posted November 21, 2014 Report Posted November 21, 2014 Still have this ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
