For those of you that have a Mooney without a dorsal fin (or if yours is damaged) and the LASAR unit sounds expensive, here's a free factory one to rivet on. Just pay the freight. I hate to chop up airworthy parts.

I haven't verified it but it should be the same part number. My buddy's 1964 M20E sure looks the same.

So do tell, what is the advantage of the dorsal I can see that it might add some stability in yaw does it give a boost in speed. Seems like most have them.
