@cctsurf well, depending on how safe your creation will be, and how adventurous your mechanic feels (I got a logbook entry for my mod), I would take one of those automotive grade 4mm x 4mm PCB pushbuttons, 3D-print a tiny, domed housing to house the push button, which I would glue to the tip of the left side of the yoke, and then use ghost wire - buy insulated ones - (which literally look like scotch tape) that people usually use for their home audio systems (you can even paint over them and no one will know), and glue those on the side of your yoke to route the signal to the hub of your yoke and then proceed from there with a coiled cord to the panel.

Depends on how much of a foreverplane you have...

Some get yokes with the holes in them already...   find Alan....

Some go with 201 style yokes for a few dollars more...  the complete package includes a different shaft and hardware on the far end...
