Does any one know if they make vertically adjustible front seats for a M20C?  I have to sit on 3 pillows and if I could get an adjustible seat - I could do away with all the lovely pillows!

I believe the vertically adjustable seat came after the 201 model. The 201 had a taller instrument panel than previous models and the adjustable seat made it easier for some pilots to see over the panel. Since the original M20C panels stands lower there was no need to raise the seat. I would check the cushion on your current seat, you may actually be seating on the platform. If you need extra height it would be more cost effective to add stiff cushion to your current seat than trying to get the adjustable seat, they are about $3000 each. One problem with the adjustable seat is that if you raise the seat (no much) you loose sight of the warning annunciator panel  due to the glare shield overhang on the 201s. Also if you are over 250 pounds the seat adjusting mechanism may crack during turbulence when set in mid positions.

Piloto: Great info.  I thought the 250 lb problem was corrected in the design though.  A design change was made to the axially rotating tube that supports the height adjustment, it was thickened and tapers in dia to distribute the load evenly across the tube.  I believe there was an instance of a heavy person breaking that tube which called for the redesign.

I'm sure it might be expensive from the factory, but give them a call anyhow.  They should be making a living selling spare parts right now and might be willing to work with you!

I found the 2" Oregon Aero seat cushion to be very helpful- they're made of stiffer foam and don't compress as much as regular pillows- comfortable, and add much-needed height. If your airplane has the original upholstery, that may be your problem, they having flattened over the years. With my newly re-foamed and upholstered seats, I find that I don't need my OA booster anymore.
