neil Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 I fly an Ovation 3. I'm based out of Albert Whitted Airport in St Pete. Anyone else on here flying a Mooney from this area?Neil Quote
jrjaks Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Hi Neil: I'm not exactly based in your area, but fly over much of the state on a regular basis. I fly a 1982 J model out of Tallahassee. We'll be going to visit relatives in Jacksonville this weekend, flying into Craig Field. Jake. Quote
N207LS Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I too fly out of KSPG (Whitted). I have a 1968 M20G that is going through a complete transformation. New panel was complete in early 2008 and new custom paint scheduled for March 2009 (Tejas Aero). The airplane is a 201 clone (minus the old window configuration). Best of Luck! Quote
neil Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 Hey Aaron, I've actually met you before.. This is Neil (I own PilotMall.com). If you ever want to see what the new Mooneys are like pop in sometime. :-) Neil Quote
TurboExec Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I'm over in Orlando, based out of Executive. Quote
N207LS Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I used to fly an Ovation2 with one of my former clients. I'd love to come by and see your new one. I am bringing mine to KFXE tomorrow for a strip/reseal on the fuel tanks. I will stop by when I return to KSPG (flying back in a friends Piper Arrow). Quote
johnb1 Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Hey Aaron, I am a new owner of a 2008 Acclaim. I go to Texas Feb. 8th for my transition training. I fly out of Leesburg, Fla. John B. Quote
Playinmechanic Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 I am currently flying out of Panama City (KPFN) or at least that is when the plane is down here. I am stationed down here and the old guy comes down to visit once in a while, giving me a chance to get a little more flying time in the mooney. Quote
fantom Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Hi guys....I started flying F-4s in the Air Force in 1969. I've owned my M20J since new in early 1994. My home base is Hollywood North Perry (KHWO) and I know our planes are the best! Hopefully a bunch of Florida Mooney pilots from Dave and Ruths' lunch group will be joining us shortly, so we all can get valuable, FL specific, flying tips. Quote
llamasftmyers Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Hey All: See I am getting a hang of this southern stuff. I am out of KLUK in Cincinnati, OH and 94FL in Fort Myers. I am currently at 94FL while my better half is in Cincinnati dealing with the weather. Fortunitely there is enough distance that she can not get her hands around my neck while I lounge in the sun and she deals with the ice and snow. I plan on being at the luncheon on the 14th and should make the April Sebring event. Look forward to meeting everyone and if you are in the neighborhood of Ft Myers, drop in. Our fuel farm is currently at $2.49 per gallon. Joe Llamas Quote
MikeinFL Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 HI Neil, I am based at Whitted as well as a loyal Pilotmall Customer. I own the M20F with the red tail parked out in front of the Terminal. Mike Quote
smitty9006 Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Hi All, I live in Seminole FL and want to start flying again and possibly get an older Mooney M20C, E, or F. I would gladly split expenses for some Mooney time, just observing and going along for the ride. Thanks, Dan Quote
