Can anyone tell me the part # for the little hub cap that covers the axle nut on the mains? ...or better yet tell me where I can get one. Not sure if all Mooney's are the same but mine is held in place with 3 screws and it has a single screw hole in the middle to hold on the wheel cover (Cleveland wheel). One of mine has been "machined" by the cotter pin in a previous life to the point that I'm concerned about it's ability to hold the wheel cover securely. I ordered what I thought was the right piece from Spruce...but it is a press on style hub cap. Any info appreciated.  Larry

Nothing like those...(although those are nice). What I'm talking about is a small cap that actually covers just the axle nut. I'll try to get a picture this evening.

Spruce probably won't have it. It is such an old part, your best bet is to try Wentworth (salvage/"junk" yard).

On the Cleveland website, you can download their parts and service manuals to get the part number. If you can't find it, call Wentworth anyway and just describe it to them. They'll probably know exactly what you're talking about.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will give Wentworth and Lasar a call tomorrow. Here are a couple of shots of what I have.
