urbanti Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Accomplished a longstanding dream of mine by completing transition and soloing a Mooney M20E with manual gear. Even after 1,000 hours and almost 300 high performance retract hours, the Mooney is refreshingly challenging, and economical! Thanks to many of you who have answered noob questions, and thanks in advance as I'm sure I'll have a lot more. best Tim 6 Quote

Seth Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 Congrats Tim! You'll be amazed after two hours of flying topping off with about 15-16 gallons. -Seth Quote
mooneygirl Posted August 9, 2014 Report Posted August 9, 2014 I love my E model. As Bill Wheat Mooney Guru says, "The E model is the most fun to fly...it is spry!" I second the motion on speed control in the pattern. Our Ovation is a great airplane. But I love love love the E model. Welcome to the Mooney Family. 2 Quote
