yvesg Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Last winter I replaced my VSI in my panel by a smaller one. Needed the 3" space for a CDI. The one removed is a Bendix MFR TYPE NO. 1634-1X-A1 A potential buyer (who is on this forum) asked me if it is TSO'd. I checked the TSO database and here is what comes-up. The one I have in hand is not listed but very close number. Is it possible that this one is part of the equipment list of my aircraft? (1965 M20C) I looked but could not find any instruments listed in my books. I absolutely want to make sure if I sell it that the new owner will be able to legally put this in his aircraft. What are the options? Thanks Yves TSO Number: TSO-C8A TSO Title: Vertical Velocity Instruments (Rate-Of-Climb) Latest Update:TSO Holder's Name: Bendix Corporation Flight Systems DivisionTSO Holder's Address: Unknown Teterboro NJ 07608 United States Responsible Office: ANE-170 New York Aircraft Certification Office Tel: (516) 228-7300Part/Model Number & Name: 1634-1AB-B1 1634-1AB-C1-1 1634-1AE-C1-1 1634-1AF-B1 1634-1AF-C1-1 1634-1AG-C1-1 1634-1AH-B1 1634-1AH-C1-1 1634-1AK-B1 1634-1AK-C1-1 1634-1AL-B1 1634-1AN-B1 1634-1AN-C1-1 AND TSO-C8 TSO Title: Vertical Velocity Instruments (Rate-Of-Climb) Latest Update:TSO Holder's Name: Bendix Corporation Flight Systems DivisionTSO Holder's Address: Unknown Teterboro NJ 07608 United States Responsible Office: ANE-170 New York Aircraft Certification Office Tel: (516) 228-7300Part/Model Number & Name: 1634-1AE-B1 1634-1AG-B1 1634-1-C1-1 1634-6Q-B2 Quote
OR75 Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 The simple answer is that if that part was TSO approved, it would say so on the Manufacturer's tag: it would have the P/N , S/N and TSO number Quote
