MPF,

The bus bar actually fits on the set of CBs. This is why the CB needs to be identical in a couple of physical dimensions.

There are a few ways to identify what you have and what you need.

You can start by looking at the bus bar from the bottom. An iPhone iPhoto may be really Ihelpful?

You may get better access to the screws from the top through the instrument access panels.

The bus bar itself is a physical barrier to removing the single CB. Removing or loosening the bar is going to effect a couple other circuits.

If there are other old warn CBs in the vicinity, this would be the time for a change...

Best regards,

From my 2001 Mooney Parts' price list, the part from Peerless is more available, almost equal in 2001 cost, and has a much better lead time. The extract from the Mooney 2001 part's price list follows:

Like it was said before....the switch is getting hot and tripping. What you can do is change the bulbs to LED's and they will not trip. I used to have normal bulbs and it would get hot as hell and trip. But I changed my bulbs and the problem is gone....it was easy and fairly less expensive
