I have an Engineering Incorporated PM 501 4 place intercom on the panel but it's only wired up for the front seats.  If anyone has any experience or suggestions to streamline the process of installing jacks and wiring for the back seats I'd be grateful.

They have the wiring diagram posted on their site I'm sure. It's real easy you just be sure to run the ground back to the common ground to avoid noise in the intercom. Spruce sells the jacks.

That is helpful, thanks.  More so looking for suggestions on jack placement and routing of wiring to the back.  Expecting to have to remove interior.  Hoping that someone else has done this and can save me from wasting a lot of time.  My plane is an E model

Jacks are on the armrests and wires are simply pulled behind the side panels. Easy wiring jobs . Most difficult will be to remove seats, side panels without cracking any of the brittle material.

We put ours in the little depressions in the rear armrests. The Ashtray idea makes them stick out in the path of entrance/egress and I didn't want to brake anything. Whatever makes you happy...

Previous owner had spare jacks in the instrument panel with extensions to the back seats! Talk about more wires!

To make it a little easier I routed the wires(I used 4 wires shield in one cable) under the pilots side interior panel.  I put all 4 jacks into a plastic project box from radio shack.  I screwed the project box outside of the interior panel at the rear.  This means the rear passenger on the pilots side has to have a headset cable running across his lap when theirs 4 passengers aboard.  It seems to worked well.  I've never had any of my rear passengers complain about this set up.  It makes it a little easier than having to run wires on both sides of the aircraft.

I put mine in the overhead plastic. There are some nice indentations that they fit in perfectly. The cords can be thrown over the passenger's shoulder into the baggage area keeping the cords out of the way helicopter style.. It also keeps them from tripping over them while getting in and out.
