Most forums have rules about commenting on stuff other people post for sale.  If something doesn't sale after a while the owner will either lower his price so it will sale, or will continue to own it.

I was being sarcastic.. Most Mooney buyers are well educated on what the current market will bring and consider what a marketable price is. This one would be better placed in Barnstormers, Controller, etc only. Some of those prospects might overlook the market comparisons. By placing this ad on MS at a very aggressive price he is bound to get flack trying to ask a unrealistic price at us. If  the seller does not want to hear our thoughts he should have re-evaluated and adjusted the price after the first few "constructive comments". Don't like the comments..well if you feel Bonanza owners are more polite just post it on Beech. I probably would not try Pilots of America..If you think this crowd is tough, POA would not be for him. If I put my plane on here and said I needed Ovation prices for a 73E...well, I'm sure I would get the same responses. Price the plane for the market and the audience.

Crappy Narcos, Jurassic GPS, 100 smoh, but by whom (field oh by owner?), 8.5 on paint is really generous, looks like a 7 at best at least from the pictures provided...yep, yours looks overpriced too. I'd say, $30k, but maybe you advertised high for negotiating room...

My observation in gerneral on the forum is everyone feels that any Mooney is overpriced that is offered for sale (except for Parker's). There is also a tendecy for people (alot of the same) to also say that the used Mooney values are way to low and complain about resale. I think you are getting a lot of plane for the money with a Mooney. Most of the premium planes that I see are sold before they get advertised in the big airport communities and fetch a better price. The small little airports communities don't have the network so you get the nice planes that get advertised and you have to be willing to act fast and pay.

 

While Alan may have been a liitle harsh most of us realize it was hummor. The OP has every opportunity to defend their asking and adjust the price if needed.  Mike unfortunately opened the discussion of the negative aspects of the plane by defending the OP. Not that he was wrong just happens that way.

 

Most of us realize this is not a moderated forum most of us are respectful of that and a few deffinately push the limits at times.  It looks like a nice plane and at that price point there are a lot of options. My 2c:)
