  1. Does somebody know how to change the order on a checklist? For example before starting engine checklist comes after starting engine... i would like to change the order but I can't find the manual.... So any advice, more than welcome...
  2. Thank you for sharing this. I am always hesitant to buy something from CL, or even eBay without being sure that the seller is legit. On the other hand I do believe that this forum provides a good sounding board for issues and problems we may face. Each time I asked for advice I receive good ideas and ways to address the problems I was facing. So thank you to everybody. Of course there is always the discussion that leads to nowhere, but that is the entertainment aspects of a forum like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Nice article about Mooney Formation flying and the Mooney Caravan to KOSH. The fun of formation flying
  4. I installed an inflatable door seal and it helped.
  5. amazing!!!
  6. I should have taken more pictures of the "before". The problem was not so much the look, but more the quality and the age of the components. I was having many electrical problems. For example the Gear breaker popped randomly without any real reason, the bus bars were made out of different metals as they had been added of the years. Connections were getting old... last but not leas some of the breakers were mislabeled.
  7. For the final result I still have to label all the fuses and triple check that they are connected to what they are supposed to be connected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  9. After looking at my breakers and seeing how they were a mix of different types and vintages, I stepped up to the challenge and decided to upgrade the Panel. Now, the big moment came when I turned on the master switch and things started to come back to life! What a relief. Took some days out of work and started to rebuild it. Here are some pics of the process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. To review The fuel vent system would be key. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Sometimes stupid people have a special protection...
  12. I wonder how did they fit one crew and 4 passenger in a M20C... sounds like the question how do you put an elephant into a beagle... Oscar
  13. My FP fluctuates from 2.3 to 6.0. Sometimes it goes above 6. I turn on the electrical pump and off it goes up and then down to 5.2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I got a set at Oshskosh, they are really great.
  15. I use a company called Aerographics. They do a great job and they are very customer oriented. Highly recommended. I am redoing my breaker panel and I just ordered a set of custom decals for the breaker panel. US$ 20 not bad. http://www.aerographics.com/ Oscar
  16. To provide an update on my fuel flow and high pressure situation. We were looking at the hoses coming from the firewall to the carburetor and obstructions. It seems that there is one small reduction in size from one of the fittings to another just before the fuel transducer. Additionally, there are some 90 degree and 45 degree angle fittings to allow the hoses to get to the fuel transducer and to the carburetor. I will changes those fittings and the fuel flow more linear... Additionally (as I do have a new carburetor) we will install a new fuel pump. So let's see if that helps. Oscar
  17. I started recording my flights mainly to check on my own performance. Landing, take off, approaches etc. Then I realized that it is also fun to edit some of them and share them. But mostly I do this to double check on my performance, and if i feel that I did something that I did not like (flat landing etc.) I review the recording and try to learn from it. In terms of performance, overall I did not sense any critical difference. Oscar
  18. Well, it is this time of the year again... Anual! At least my compressions checked out fine, but I need to send in my Governor... Also, my fuel flow seems to be low at take off and my fuel pressure high... any suggestions?
  19. I agree the instrument ticket is the best insurance you can buy.
  20. I landed my Mooney on several grass and gravel runways. Key is to know where you are flying into. On some other occasions I was told that the strip was not in a good state and I did not go there. So be careful and selective. Our birds have a low clearance and you have to be careful. The only time I got some gravel hit my prop, was on a major international airport... go figure.
  21. I use the visual approach feature mainly at night and sometimes at unfamiliar airports. It is slick and helps you get a better sense on where you are. Also at night it helps you keep your glideslope if there is no VASI...black hole síndrome... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. How much do you want for the altimeter? Did it pass the last pitot static check? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. well you are around too...
