  1. By any chance Bennett would you have a picture of it and it's location? Thanks, Steve
  2. Bring out the pictures John!
  3. Byron was right in getting you to post your pictures. Thanks for sharing,
  4. I've know Bill for many years. He can do magic with things mechanical and has proven it over the years in motorcycle drag racing with quite a few championships and helped many racers. I never knew he actually had a license and owned aircraft though. I would suggest you do your due diligence like all aircraft deals.
  5. If you saved your eapis manifest you can re-enter the updated information and then you will have to re-file it as well as phone CBP.
  6. There is a thread somewhere here covering this and trying to find out how to describe the limits of turbulence. Personally I pull back when I am strained against the seatbelts in either a up or down draft or mild to severe turbulance. I believe the J is limited to 3.8+ and 1.58- Gs
  7. To the best of my knowledge controlled VFR isn't a rule. You do have to notify a responsble person (ie: wife or friend) where you're going. I've flown many times just letting the local controller where I'm going however it's probably wise to let someone know where, when and your ETA of course
  8. Good to know Seth. Thanks I have an early J with the straight cut wing tips similar to the C, E's and F's
  9. What aircraft were they for and why are you selling them?
  10. From what I understand parts are still available but maybe hard to get on time. Why are you selling your Bonanza? TKS?
  11. Great improvement and I hope they go ahead and make it. It would be great if they installed some white LED's along with the coloured LED nav lights for us that don't have your wing tip style.
  12. My 78 J has only 1 light. has anyone heard of an STC for a second?
  13. BS yourself, The LED are also wider, having a better angle of view as well as giving more light. Come up here at night and I'll show you. I still have my old light which I'll never reinstall. Of course I didn't get mine from TSC farm supply like yours Byron. I have a real aircraft light.
  14. I have an 78 J also and put the 43 Whelan in when they first came out and I'm very happy with it. They are much brighter than the HID and use only 2 amps compared to the 12 from the original.
  15. If it's only the upholsery you can buy new ready made and ready to fit from Airtex.
  16. I believe Lasar had a stc for a hinge for that.
  17. Whats your need for a 252? If you're going between 9.5 and 11.5 maybe a 201 would work
  18. Why are you selling ?
  19. Looks great Brad. I have the same paint scheme and after they're buffed up I wouldn't want to change it to the newer style. You're going to have lots of fun,
  20. Aviation Consumer uses a public hotmail account?
  21. Thanks for the info Bennett. Definately going to change my shut down procedures.
  22. +1 on the sky tech. I had the starter installed along with a plane power alternator last year and haven't had a problem.
