  1. Does anyone have this autopilot add on in their aircraft and what do you think of them? Are they worth adding this to a Century llB to increase the usability?
  2. That's his home page. Any idea where his apprasel page is?
  3. It looks like the right wheel brake master cylinder and it may be the oring's need replacing. The left is on the other side of the auxiliary fuel pump. the fluid colour red? I just had redone mine this annual.
  4. I agree with Scott in that you need to figure your mission first and plan your purchase around that. How many people would fly with you most of the time, duration, comfort required, avionics needed or what your upgrade standard and cost and of course. What your budget for annual runing costs your comfortable with. I think $60K/year mentioned above is out by a factor of at least 10. Check with people that already own that specific plane.
  5. I've had my GTN 750 with a JPI 830 since a year ago September and would recommend it to anyone. I had the DME removed at the same time since the 750 made it redundant. You can program the gtn to show distance to a waypoint, IAF, FAF, an airport or any number of options. I also have the GMA 35 and the GTX 35 and even though they work great and exactly as promised I would like to of had more information on the 750 screen rather then the audio and transponder info. Have you considered the JPI 900? Its also classed as a primary replacement
  6. Just curious but do you know the cost of installation?
  7. I believe you have to either move or get rid of the cluster gauges to be able to flush mount
  8. Just downloaded Xavion and found the W&B pretty useful. Plus it has a unique PFD function that's a valuable standby and a map that will also function as a engine out best glide guide.
  9. Hey the Beechcraft guys only have Beechtalk. We have Mooney World!
  10. They have a YEN for that sort of thing
  11. I'll post a picture Scott when I'm at the plane next, Steve
  12. The doors aren't eroded but seem to have been installed so when they completely close the 1/2" gap is from front to back. What year gear doors are you using and did you pick up any speed Scott? Thanks, Steve
  13. Just finished doing the annual on my J and noticed a 1/2" gap on the front gear doors. There doesn't seem to be an adjustment to make. Does anyone know of a mod that would conceal this opening?
  14. By any chance Bennett would you have a picture of it and it's location? Thanks, Steve
  15. Byron was right in getting you to post your pictures. Thanks for sharing,
  16. I've know Bill for many years. He can do magic with things mechanical and has proven it over the years in motorcycle drag racing with quite a few championships and helped many racers. I never knew he actually had a license and owned aircraft though. I would suggest you do your due diligence like all aircraft deals.
  17. If you saved your eapis manifest you can re-enter the updated information and then you will have to re-file it as well as phone CBP.
  18. There is a thread somewhere here covering this and trying to find out how to describe the limits of turbulence. Personally I pull back when I am strained against the seatbelts in either a up or down draft or mild to severe turbulance. I believe the J is limited to 3.8+ and 1.58- Gs
  19. To the best of my knowledge controlled VFR isn't a rule. You do have to notify a responsble person (ie: wife or friend) where you're going. I've flown many times just letting the local controller where I'm going however it's probably wise to let someone know where, when and your ETA of course
  20. Good to know Seth. Thanks I have an early J with the straight cut wing tips similar to the C, E's and F's
  21. What aircraft were they for and why are you selling them?
