My 84K has the three positions (Full open, trail, closed), but in "Trail," they don't open completely on the ground when the aerodynamic forces aren't pushing them, they stay in trail (1/3 open)...

You can make this in 5 minutes? Amazing! Curves, drill holes and bend and molded cooling bumps? Impressive! I can't...maybe with enough time and practice attemps I could get a close approximation...but after buying the right drill bits, sanders, etc and my time, it would be much cheaper and quicker to buy one... It will be here from lasar on monday

Ok, so a science-y question related to that...Lets say no clouds, clear sky. How high would salty air be lifted up, like to Catalina airport (about 1600') and how far inland would it go? Is there some kind of formula, taking into account temperature, humidity, wind, etc?

Your manifold pressure fluctuates too? Mine changes about .5" or so with cowl flap changes and pitch changes...I thought maybe my butterfly valve needed adjusting. It's always done it since I've owned it and it's a new engine.
