  1. I have fuel weeping in my left wing. It's time for a complete strip and reseal on my 77J. I own a salvage wing from a 78J that has bladders. Is it worth trying to move from one to the other? I am on a waiting list for fixing the weeping tanks. I expect my first call would be to the STC holder to see if the STC is transferrable? Any thoughts from the pros??

  5. I had to send my MVP-50 engine monitor back to EI for a new battery. In this process wanted the monitor updated to the Hartzell TOP PROP claim to eliminate that yellow arc to avoid continuous operation between 1950 and 2250. Need some help finding the documentation that states that. Can't find this in the TOP PROP owners manual.

  15. My vacuum pump failed on my 77 M20J. My plan was to change over to an electric back up when this happened. The obvious choice would have been to replace with the new Garmin G5. My avionics shop has informed me that for Certified aircraft the G5 is only approved as a primary instrument and cannot be used as a backup. Just wondering if anyone in this group has gone all electric and what did you do once the vaccum pump failed. I do have a G500 now, see picture below. Any help and advice is appreciated. Eldon
  16. Having flown in your airplane I can agree with you. The attachment that you get from purchasing the add ons such as the GTN750 and making this your personal airplane are hard to overcome. I do have a wing from a 78 J and if you want pictures I can provide for you. I have full US logs and Canadian logs. Eldon
