  1. I have never used a mask , I use the nasal cannulas , they are much more efficient , and I use O2 at 9 k and above , reduces fatigue big time.....Oxygen is cheap...
  2. I have a medical bottle that works great , Two bottles , regulator , custom fit bag and a dozen nasal cannulas , was about 100 on ebay new.....
  3. Sale is pendind , lets hope it goes through...
  4. I think we both agree that blades don't last forever , and we also both agree that new is better than overhauled , and we also both agree that the no eci prop adds value when trying to sell a Mooney.....
  5. When they overhaul the blades they take a little off each time , after the 3rd there is not enough chord left to be in spec.... You are buying blades at that point.....Blades are more than a top prop conversion....
  6. I will go that route , But hartzell sells the uncertified version of this prop new for 7 K so it will be a little harder on that forum , Thanks for the suggestion...
  7. Yes this is true , but you could sell your old prop for 2k and that would only be a 3 k difference , also take in mind that you can only over haul prop blades three times..... Now how many hours are on your prop since new?????? This is a new prop , not overhauled.......When you add it all up its a steal regardless of the AD... The AD is just the icing on the cake..... Also it is a big deal at resale.....No biggie , I will get 5K for it its just a question of when....
  8. Lets all go back to our training and remember a term called induced drag , a prop is not a screw , it is an airfoil , and while it operates it takes energy to create that lift.....Engine compression has no effect on the drag created , because it cancels out itself with expansion , so the energy consumed is basically the friction in turning the engine , and the lift involved in the operation of the prop....And there is most certainly a transfer of heat going on...where the low pressure is on the leading of the prop , even with that engine windmilling , that prop will ice up before the rest of the plane(in icing conditions)
  9. I wasted my money on them, Why shouldnt I inform someone else....as a side note , the birds absolutely loved building nests in them...
  10. The wheel well liners are a total waste of money...
  11. Enjoy your sails....
  12. The articles said there was jet fuel everywhere...Also two survivors in the plane , so the impact was not severe...Sounded liked a missed approach go around accident..
  13. Seats removed from a M20C will fit C,D,E,F,G,J, Not perfect , but they are serviceable.... 600.00 plus freight , or best reasonable offer , Call Alan 856 419 5209....
  14. Actually the Nitrox helps to prevent nitrogen narcosis , The problem with nitrogen , is it can make you loupy and in a drunk like stupor , not good while diving , There two reasons for mixing gasses in scuba diving , one is for extending dive time without getting bent , the other is for really deep dives , I cant remember the differences , But people who mix gasses are really pushing the envelope......As far as Medical oxygen and aviation oxygen , as far as portables are concerned I dont believe it is regulated by the FAA , I have a a pair of medical bottles with a regulator and carry tote that I bought new on ebay , for less than 100.00 and it has been fine for the last 7 years , It is probably cheaper to replace them , than to hydro them when the time comes...... I use them more for the 8K to 12K altitudes , as I am not Turbocharged , and they dramatically reduce fatigue and headaches on the longer flights....
  15. That was actually a Joke.....I would have not traded a car for 530....
  16. Not from hartzell , Just called them and it is 8300.00
  17. This is the price for the complete prop , just to clear up any confusion....
  18. It just blows me away how cheap people are , I have learned a valuable lesson , take em apart and sell the parts..... Its more profitable , and much easier.....
  19. I have been trying to sell a 300 hour 5 year old Hartzell prop , and although I thought this would be the easiest part to sell , It seems no one will step up to the plate and buy it......People think I will sell it for 3 or 4 thousand , and its not happening.....Should I sell it wholesale to a service center , for 4 K or should I put it on my E model to try to sell it faster...... What do you guys think....... I am not retailing it for less than 5K .... Regards Alan....
  20. The Throttle cable is 41.5 inches from the inside of the pane nut , to the rod end hole when pushed in all the way to full throttle.....Has the microswitch and bracket for the gear horn......The Prop cable is 46 inches from the inside of the panel nut to the rod end hole when knob is pushed full forward , This is a new vernier cable , I also have a good older one that is Identical to it not pictured... The push pulls for the heater defrost are the newer style.....and are total lenghth from the panel nut to the cable end are 33" 41" and 43" and are very nice......The Tach cable is 36" I also have a vernier mixture cable very nice and clean , red knob 51" in lenghth......(not pictured)
  21. Sweeping the wings is to increase lift by aerodynamically increasing the chord , without actually building a bigger wing....More chord equals more lift.....
