  1. Bill- PM sent.
  2. I summerize by flying to the mountains and beaches.
  3. KROG, Rogers Arkansas. Home of Wally World's jet fleet.
  4. I'd caution against putting their weight on the inspection panel on the forward section of the wing walk.
  5. Sky Tec treated me good. When I purchased my plane it had a Sky Tec that failed a year or so after I bought the plane and well after their warranty period. Without me asking, they swapped me out a new one at no charge when we sent it in to OH. Good folks.
  6. Yeah, that's a good job for the form a funnel. I also use it to drain the oil overnight from the engine and for catching the oil when checking the suction screen.
  7. Flew in today, good flight. Pretty straightforward as mentioned earlier. I fly into Colorado a lot so yes, I'm aware of the high altitude/ density altitude requirements. I'll be about 250 lbs below gross and the runway is fairly long at around 7500' or so with no immediate obstacles on departure. Should be easy.
  8. Ha! That's the tail of my plane. Not a rocket though. The name Rocky is in remembrance of my boxer Rocky that died right before I got the plane.
  9. Looking forward to it. We are going to climb a couple 14'ers and ride the Monarch Crest mtn bike trail. It's supposed to be a hoot.
  10. Thanks for chipping in guys. Looks like a pretty easy in and out and I'll be light. Hopefully the weather cooperates.
  11. A buddy and I are flying into Salida tomorrow if the weather and winds cooperate. If not we'll land in Canon City where it's a little flatter terrain. Anyways, I was wondering if I could get any pireps on flying into Salida if any of you guys or gals have been. I plan on following the river in from Canon City at 10,500'. Thanks...
  12. Yes! It's a nice little product.
  13. Nice! I'm a boxer guy myself. I lost my boxer buddy of 15 years and 2 months last May. They are great dogs with wonderful personalities. Glad you were able to help this guy out.
  14. I read about this in an aviation magazine a few years back. Well done Mark on keeping your cool.
  15. I've had my hangar door freeze to the ground during a rare snow storm. Blows.
  16. A good buddy of mine just bought into a Bonanza with 2 other individuals. One, a 70 plus year old, left Destin a couple weeks ago and "didn't have time" to fuel up. Long story short he launched into IMC, flew to Atlanta, made two missed approaches and promptly ran out of fuel. He got lucky and walked away as did his passenger but it was incredibly stupid nonetheless. Plane was put down on a road but had 47k of damage done to it.
  17. I've heard 10-15 minutes...
  18. In the meantime hit it with some corrosion x and work the strainer bar up and down a few times. Worked for me.
  19. I have a buddy that takes a Maule in there. He says its a little rugged and doesn't recommend taking my J into it.
  20. I've have a spare set zip tied in my battery compartment.
  21. I plan on being in Destin with the family in the next month or so. I'd be happy to let you take a look while I'm in town.
