Personally I always smile when people say Mooney’s are “hard” to slow down. Remove power and pitch up and they DEFINITELY SLOW DOWN. I do this often to get to gear extend after decent. -

I replaced mine after same thing happened (getting hit in head). I purchased from a Mooney service center. Less than ten bucks and it is simple and works. Make a few calls before replacing with an over engineered contraption.

I never understood why loss of altitude in a stall recovery was EVER an issue with an instructor. The idea is to get the nose down and gain airspeed and smoothly recover, right? -

Weird thread creep. I was just wondering if anyone else is impacted by a delayed turn around on a transponder software update at Garmin. I see zero comparison to multiple planes down with several hundred lives lost....but duly noted they are both delays due to software. Thanks for the input?

I would totally save that tail with the gore in my hanger as wall art. That polished area is very nice. Maybe mount a flying goose coming at it... Sorry, that was a little soon. Glad YOU and most of plane are all right and will fly again. Probably one of those damn American Goose’s vacationing Up Nort. Again, sorry I know it is to soon. Hope it gets repaired quickly. Good story to tell. That goose was named Darwin.

We just bought the plane so were not being pokey. We had already done a 335 in our plane that is being sold. I guess I am trying to imagine the backlog. This is only a software update. How long can that take? Two plus weeks and counting...

OMG! We are kindred spirits Mark and I. I could check every box except substitute Porsche GTS for AC Cobra. Lifelong Packer/Badger fan. I was rooting hard before, but NOW it’s personal! Go Mark!!!!!!! PS-Bucky and Pack look SOLID this fall. Tune those games in for Mark. Big deal at Michigan on Saturday
