    I am a bully. when? when individuals make over the top statements that I vehemently disagree with regarding aviation. when they double and triple down on ridiculousness and call me out, it is going south. In the future it will just be a sad emoji. Know that I am not sad. What I read is interpreted AS sad. Examples? Politics, compressed air in aviation, gear ups. No one was bullied or attacked in this thread.

    Thanks. I have the angle adapter already. Good call on that and the screen protector. How is yours wired? With cradle hardwired? External antenna? Bluetooth to your ADSB in?

    So we have Unmanned aerial drones in U.S. that are flying above 400’AGL. Is this O.K. With everybody that flies aircraft? By what authority is this authorized? I have a HUGE problem with this. If it is in restricted airspace, NO worries. Above an interstate in airspace occupied by private aircraft and commercial traffic? Hell to the NO! This is outside UAV guidelines. I don’t care if it was reporting ADSB Out and was being monitored by ATC. NOT COOL!

    We have a 396 hard wired in our panel for ships power. Has XM connected and an external antenna connected. The Aera 660 has the same footprint as the 396 and has Bluetooth connectivity as well as ability to pin in from our 530w. There is a “cradle” that is compatible for connection with the Air Gizmo. My question: Has anyone done this and how do they like it?

    That is very troubling. Is this government? If yes does anybody else have a problem with this? Should this not be a HUGE deal to FAA if there are drones operating in airspace WELL ABOVE 400’AGL? This is totally and completely UNACCEPTABLE. Did you tell ATC or did ATC tell you there was traffic?

    Looks like vertical mount would fit there if we “lose” the strikefinder. I am being convinced based on losing gauges to failure reality. I see no place for strikefinder without a major panel redo that IS NOT HAPPENING (my final answer) I went from NO on 900 to yes, but someday lol... Thanks for the convincing/voices of reason...

    Wow. One datapoint and run don’t walk from a 2005 overhaul. Whatever. My dog went by a culvert and something scared him. He was afraid of EVERY culvert after that... It is YOUR story Karch. Doesn’t mean it is “every similar planes story”. Every airframe has an ownership experience story. I will just say thanks for nothing on your blanket wisdom. YMMV.

    My ‘66 E has ALWAYS indicated 50 higher on #2. If it wasn’t indicating that I would think I have a problem. That said the temps are not over 360 except MAYBE in climb on a hot day. Never over 400. I attribute it to probe placement or maybe type. I believe the OEM probe was also on #2 so the position and possibly the type of probe is different. Non-issue for me.
