  1. Will do. We are in process of it still as there is a lot to cleanup and redo while we are back there. There was a lot of bad juju going on and we need to have that fixed before we let it out of here. We refuse to let things go as a safety rule. We usually eat a lot, but feel better once it leaves. Drop me a line and lets talk. Shoot an email first so we can discuss when you call. 541-507-1007
  2. Thank you for the recognition Anthony!!!! LOL Been really busy and had the COVID for a bit. All good now and ready to rock.
  3. Shoot me an email and I will send you some examples of what we have done for customers with the same setup on a J model. We currently are doing a J model with a Dynon right now also.
  4. Do you still need a RAL? I have one on the shelf I can get to you.
  5. I think @Mscheuer should chime in for this one, personally! Mark, how have you been and please educate us! Why is this the type of wire you all specified and can other types be used?
  6. Let me know what you are looking for as far as "add-ons". Give us a shot, if you would like. gbaker@bakeravionics.com
  7. No it will not as the STec30 is an analog system and the only type of AP that the SkyView can control is digital.
  8. The GFC500 is a different animal than the TruTrak, good purchase Richard!
  9. I agree, believe me. I am with each and every one of the rest you all here. I just try and give you all the same I do we get. This is why Avionics, in particular, is a hard business to be in. We are at the mercy of the "engineering firms" that supposedly know what they are doing and when things get out of whack, we, the shops, usually take the brunt of the punishment. I feel so bad for the owners and that is why we do business the way we do. We do fixed price bidding and keep folks informed the best we can. You all her are such a great group, I can't even begin to tell you! I love the questions, comments and informative rhetoric! And I truly mean that too, no sarcasm!
  10. Yeah, you're right, maybe I should wait until it is already done and not update anyone. So sorry. The thing is, this is an informative forum to try and help and gtlet news out when we find out and our information is only as good as the people or company giving it to us. Shalll we stop? No, I apologize to everyone for this and hope that in the future, all of the entities that play a role in approvals and certification of things will beore accurate. I appreciate the follow up, but we are only doing all we can. So, to answer your statement, the ESTIMATE worked pretty good because it is only an estimate.
  11. Check the Alternator filter circuit, if installed, miscellaneous ground wires in the engine compartment that are just cutoff and are running into the cabin area.
  12. Go to EDMO.com, search for SRT-1 and SRT-2. SRT-1 is the removal tool and the SRT-2 is the installation tool. They are what is used by us.
  13. I would look at the shielding or the shield ground going to the same ground as the power. whether you look at the GNC300 or the Audio Panel. It seems like that to me.
  14. My questions are, what other Avionics do you have, but if you pulled all of the CB for everything else, it is a little weird.
  15. Is your GNC300 the number 1 radio or number 2?
  16. Does it happen all of the time (whether on external power) or only when the engines are running?
  17. Personally, I would look to be certain the Audio lines going to the Audio Panel from the GNC is shielded and the shield is grounded correctly. It seems to me that the shield is either loose or not even there. Further, the Squelch sounds like it is set low on that as well, as mentioned before. Further, do yo have an entertainment jack installed? You need to be certain that the music/entertainment jack is isolated from ground because it too can cause issues like this. Other than that, I would have to ask if there is a RX or a TX light showing when this happens.
  18. So cool! Good job! It is just super odd that the same pin would cause only the 165 to work solidly. LOL....Kudos!
  19. Hey there Skip! How have you been?! We have seen GMA340's and some of the G1000 ones. The GMA345 seems to be a solid unit. Hey I also just posted some things about your Aspen/KFC150 issue as well. Take a gander!
  20. One other thing, what is the PN of the AP computer? Below is an excerpt from the Aspen Manual that may be a bit concerning, if applicable. The referenced note is specifically for the KFC100/150
  21. Maybe try to switch the GS antenna connections at the splitter from the GS antenna between the 430 and 165. It sounds, to me, like it is not sensing a good ILS signal on the GS side. The "signals" between the AP computer and the ACU are pretty much moot as is the connections from the 430 to the ACU. If all other functions of the 430 are working good on the Aspen and the AP, all of it goes to/through the ACU and is transmitted digitally so it has no bearing on the wiring to the ACU or from the ACU to the AP due to the fact that the ACU alone feeds the computer the ILS Energize signal. That is a verification in itself. It seems like a RF signal issue that may be weak. via the receiver in the 430. Further, what are the setting for the Aspen/ACU and the 430 as it pertains to the Aspen? Does the Aspen have the overbraid shielding at least 12 inches from the PFD connector and is going to ground? That is probably where I would start. It doesn't seem like wiring is an issue, to me. The only other thing is are you selected for GPS on the 430 vs VLOC while doing the approach? Just curious.
  22. We have been seeing these types of issues and it seems to be an intermittent fault with the Audio Panels. Either that or you can check the mic jack to see if one of the "tangs" has gotten caught and then bent to touch the "tip" to ground somehow. That is where the PTT happens is on the tip
  23. It already does and works better with the Aspen than the G5. We have done several interfaced with Aspen and G5.
  24. I spoke to Bendix King and supposedly in the next 4 weeks, the AeroCruze 100 AP will be STC'd for the Mooney's minus the real early models. FYI. Will update more on Mooneyspace as I find more out.
