  1. A local A&P built these and adjustable for different aircraft.
  2. Not sure about airpark? KWEA is Parker County Airport, not really a County owned though. Houses on the west side that have access to runway.
  3. Black ops training area. I know an unnamed airline that recently flew personal in there…so I was told…
  4. Right on Wart Hawg!
  5. Just had this installed in my 67’F and love it!
  6. Vance, I’ll chip in…I just acquired a 67’F that sat for years! (The entire story soon). The A&P/IA seller rescued it and did a top IRAN on it and put a few hours on it before I bought it. No issues were found or present while he flew however after my 1st fuel stop and 3 hours of flying I had no issues in starting but afterwards for a bit it ran like some described, stumbling. I taxied to an area were I could clear the mags thinking perhaps a plug fouling. I was satisfied and did a static takeoff, it seemed to run fine. Did not see anything on JPI. 2nd fuel stop the same symptoms, perhaps not as pronounced. That 3 hour leg was fine and F is now home, well almost, temporarily parked at a different airport. The seller suggests adjusting the mixture again. I’ll be troubleshooting further.
  7. I’m sure this is out there somewhere but I’m looking a more detailed W&B form so I can build an accurate profile in ForeFlight. Just re-weighed AC after major Avionics change and now have a useful load of 1026 lbs.
  8. For those that removed your Brittian AP, what did you do with the Turn Coordinator? Can it still be used with Vacuum ports capped?
  9. Can you get the guy wanting to book an Emirates flight off this board!

It's not just "a guy" but rather an automated bot system creating hundreds of accounts from thousands of random IP addresses.

      Oh boy. Thanks!

  10. I searched this N number and it came up under a 2011 post about previous damage history but not a lot of background. Anyone know the history of this Modified C? Has a few different mods installed and has been pretty dormant without flying much. Mack
  11. There is a C in Texas with the same issue except it did not puncture the upper skin. The area it went through was an Aux fuel tank. I looked at it and I do not think you can simply do a patch. I believe it should have the entire skin section replaced.
  12. That was a great looking E Alan, but how on earth does it have 2 gear up landings in 100 hours? Of course it could take years to get 100 hours!
  13. Dang nice G! Check Gear Down and Trim Set! Fly safe and often!
  14. In the big airplanes, Trim gets reset after landing and re-checked twice before T/O. It’s all a training issue. Same principle in Carpentry, Measure Twice, Cut Once.....
  15. Pretty!
  16. How much are the going for these days? I’m in limbo on my 68 project but it has Bladders...
  17. What Alan said...I drove over from CVG and got there just after the prospective buyer, the Car Dealership owners were there too. I took one walk around the filthy, dirty airframe and ragged out interior and told him to walk away fast. Told the owners that it’s not worth half of what they want. Their reply was; “We got lots of interested buyers” Just like a car salesman, no offense to any who are...I’m glad “Gubni” came out and listened! You’ll find something, just keep looking....
  18. This plane sure stirred up a lot! I was interested, briefly until I had some “eyes” on it the morning of sale. I (we) all would love to see this flying again! Also the progress, etc. It would all be educational for many I suppose. I wish the buyer Goodluck and if he/she is around let us know. Many here are willing to help...
  19. Do yourself a favor, send entire exhaust out for inspection and ifs only that area then good but my experience is if it’s cracked somewhere then it’s probably compromised somewhere else. Ask me how I know....
  20. Blame it on COVID. Why go to work when you can stay home.?
  21. Hey all, I’ve asked this before and has anyone recently bought, installed, gave up on the ARI cowl mod? I have a J cowl that I could install but would require more work or look again at the ARI mod? Btw, I’m a long way from that point in the process.... Thx.
  22. Hey there...I’m an F owner who is often in Florence. Sometimes during the week and sometimes during the weekends. PM your contact information and next time I’m there maybe at least I can come see your ride..
