  1. I have one i think. Black. I can send it over.
  2. Or we can order nukes to be dropped in it. That makes sense right?
  3. The solo cht probe would go great with my used EDM 700 I'm trying to sell with one missing CHT probe! Come on peeps!
  4. The gfc 500 will not work without a g5 so you can count that one out.
  5. I have a Garmin one. Cheaper. I like it.
  6. I can’t really see a part number but it is an oil temp sensor from my 231. I have a feeling it won’t help this situation but I thought I would try.
  7. How much for the bug?
  8. I assume this isnt it is it?
  9. Thanks Ross, It was a pleasure to deal with you as well. I updated the thread again and posted new pictures of remaining stuff as well as some additional items. My boss at the flight school wants me to sell some items that were kicking around his hangar either from him, the private club plane and some from a man that passed and left the airplane stuff to him. In there are a couple of props, wheel hubs, and a 3 axis A/P from a Cessna 182 P as well as some additional avionics. The list is current as of this post. Antennas and KY 197 seem to be spoken for. Just waiting for payment.
  10. https://beetlejuiceadventure.wordpress.com/2019/09/11/how-to-reboot-a-garmin-g5/ I should have done a google search first. Came up with the article above which says so hold the power button while turning on the master. Other forums say to hold the power button for 10 seconds. I definitely tried holding it in for a few seconds. Obviously not quite 10. I’ll try it next time it happens. thanks for the replies. My mind is more at ease that it isn’t an install error that we have to search for and also that it won’t randomly fail in flight.
  11. I have a narco 121 vor/loc all in one. And a ky197 which would solve the nav com problem. No glidslope on the nav though. And the KY197 doesnt have a perfect display either. I dont have any wherewithal to help with a repair though. Just trying to sell old stuff. I'll give you a good price though :-)
  12. I have not visited the shop yet, and I know that is likely the only way to solve this but I figured I would see what kind of thoughts came up here first. Hoping someone has had a similar issue. Keep in mind that the entire panel is new and has been working fine for over a month. Before my flight yesterday while taxiing I noticed the G5 wasn't on which normally comes on with the master. Tried the power button, cycling the master, Reset circuit breakers. Nothing. I did the 2 hour VFR flight and flew it by hand (since the GFC-500 runs off the G5). The power trim also didn't work. Everything else in the system worked fine. I left to come home at night and same thing. But this time (because it was dark) I noticed that there was still some kind of power going to the unit. I could see the backlight around the knob and the power button. But it would not turn on. Flew the trip by hand with no other problems. I parked in the hangar and crawled underneath to see if any wires were loose. Nothing. I powered the master back on and wouldn't you know, the unit fired up. Tried three cycles and it fired up each time. BUT, the battery life was at 59%. Was it charging the whole time? How long do these things take to charge? and how did it become dead? in the 10 flights or so before I never once noticed a power warning or that it was running on battery so I would think I can rule out a power supply problem. And if it was at 59% why would it not have come on before? I also don't know how these interconnect with the trim circuit. I should mention that the only thing that I did that was out of the ordinary was that 2 nights before I updated the database using the wifi and flightstream 510. Most of it uploaded and synced while I was taxiing and during the flight but when I landed the flight charts had not been synced so I left the master on for about 45 minutes and let it finish. The battery is brand new and the voltage never dropped below 12.2V. I shut everything off like normal and it started perfectly fine the next time (which was yesterday morning) so I don't think I drained the G5 battery as when the master is on, is the unit not running off ships power not its own battery?? Any idea's would be welcomed. I am not legal IFR without it so it would be nice to be confident that this brand new system won't randomly crap out on me.
  13. I've thought about that. I have a student with a 182 and a 3 blade MT composite. It's really quiet. After the 160k I just spent on avionics I dont have much left. I wanted a paint job too but couldnt justify it... Maybe in 800 hours at TBO (if it lasts that long) I will get a new prop. At that point I'm hoping for a different engine option than a rebuilt LB.
  14. I hate apple. But I'm working on putting in a panel mount ipad mini only because guardian doesnt make a flush mount for a Samsung. I've only had my samsung phone overheat once. Cause I left it on a dark desk in the sun in the dead of summer. You arent the first person to mention an ipad overheating. Good thing my guardian mount has a fan.
  15. I assume you mean JPI EDM 700? I'm selling the kit in my thread. 6 cyl turbo
  16. If this ever came about I might be one of the first in line to buy one. Especially if its pressurized. About the only thing I dont like about my mooney ( or any other piston) is the noise.
  17. Some things have sold. I have updated the list as well as prices for things I would like to see gone. Shipping is pretty quick. If you need something please let me know.
  18. Is that a guardian avionics ipad mount for a mini? My avionics guy said mine couldnt fit even though it seems like it can. Was any special modifying required? Is it right side up? Seems that if I put it right side up the yoke is in the way of the charger cable assembly but may be able to put it upside down. Amy info is appreciated. Mine looks like this.... I opted for the new mid continent clock. The TXI has one but there is something about having a nice big clock right there. Has USB power as well. Also, 2 thumbs up for the 750 and FS 510. Very intuitive and doesnt take long to get used to. Knob turning is a thing of the past other than for volume.
  19. I'm also curious. My flight school may be looking for a drop in KLN 94 if Alan Fox doesnt want it.
  20. Also, it looks like the upgrade at the above posted shop only gives you an extra 1500 for the WAAS upgraded unit when purchasing a 650. No point in upgrading the non WAAS. Just trade it in.
  21. I assume you mean non WAAS units wont be worth anything in trade after the availability of the upgrade goes away? I would think the value of a WAAS unit might even go up no?
  22. I have 2 CI-196 posted in this thread asking $220 each. Can ship within a day.
  23. Pics removed Unfortunately I dont have the yoke trim switch for this system. But I do have a panel mounted trim switch i can throw in for someone that buys it. Looks like a rocker switch. Not ideal but it's all I have right now. The brackets etc are pictured below. P/N for motor is IC373-6-807
  24. No problem Charlie, I put a request in with some guys at the shop to see if they can come about a yoke switch. Let me know if you change your mind. Tail strobe sold. Updated the list. This is what things look like now. I never thought I would enjoy "not" flying this much. Put on the music and relax
