  1. I'm posting this on this page for a couple of reasons. First and foremost is to share my ADS B conversion report. I have a Garmin 400W and purchased a KT 74 mode S a few months ago. On the day the Rebate program went live, I signed up and got a reservation number. Had the Avionics shop install the following week. Went online to schedule my flight test. Here's where the story gets good. I got a call from an FAA representative in DC. He was beyond helpful. Walked me through the flight check process. I emailed him my route of flight. Flew as planned. The next day, he emailed two documents - the expanded report and the Four Box report of the system. A confirmation code came with the report. I went to the rebate site and entered the code. My check arrived yesterday! As much grief as we seem to have with the Feds, they have gotten this program right. Mr. Usmaan Javed in DC was the consummate professional. What a pleasant experience. If you haven't applied for the rebate yet, do it now!
  2. Added the 10 gallons 8 years ago. Hunt club in Mexico is 600 NM from Yuma. Extra fuel made the trip much more comfortable with the reserve. No issues with the O and N since 2002.
  3. USAF 1970 - 1990 - Active / Guard / Reserve. F4 WSO.
  4. My 75 F has the split. I leave the right rear back off. Two sets of golf clubs and the O2 bottle fit perfectly.
  5. I bought a used York Gust Lock from a friend selling his Piper. It works great. They are online, but not cheap.
  6. No chance of getting over the Sierras from KMEV. Admire all the good decisions being made today. Fly safe.
  7. KMEV was 100 1/4 til 1000 this AM. 32V maybe a little late.
  8. Wife named her Lolita. Said I spend more time with Lolita than I do with her.
  9. I will attend if I can get over the Sierras. Brad Spires. N7432V
  10. I bought my accutrak 2 direct from Brittian Industries. Simple add on to the PC. Works like a charm. Contact them in Oklahoma.
  11. Factory new engine driven pump installed today. Set up cruise at 12.5. Worked perfectly! Problem finally solved.
  12. I fly from Minden to Las Vegas monthly. Need to be at 13.5 for radar. Always fly 14.5 / 15.5. Been to 17.9. Slow going after 15k. Great fuel burn up high.
  13. IFR-certified GPS 155XL. TSO-certified for non-precision approaches. Includes tray, connector, antenna, flight manual, and AmeriKing GPS/NAV Switch Annunciator for 14V system. Removed from my Executive for Waas upgrade. Flown IFR up to date removed. Works perfectly. $1200
  14. All - Fuel pressure drops and goes right back up. No other indications of any kind. Boost pump cures. Only above 10,000. I'm counting on the new engine driven fuel pump curing - ordered.
  15. Thanks. Mechanical pump on the way.
  16. After overhaul, I've had an ongoing issue. Above 10,000, the fuel flow drops from 24 to 17 every 40-50 seconds. Still in green arch. Boost pump cures. Have had all fuel components rechecked by appropriate manufacturers. Works fine below 10,000. 1975 F. First purchased in 2002. Really strange. Any thoughts? Excellent overhaul by Eagle engines - 220 hours.
  17. I'm flying down to VGT next Thursday for a few days. You're welcome to join me. I was an instructor at the 414th in the 70s - F-4s. Have a 75 Exec. Brad
