What else is making it unairworthy besides the tanks? Sealing tanks or bladders is somewhere in the 8k-ish range? But I'm wondering what the plan was around the engine, given that was high time, if 8k is a deal breaker then shouldn't the high time engine have kept u away from this purchase? Anyways, sux and sorry bout that.

BD, not my plane, one that was for sale a while back and I flew out of the field where it's kept today so I snapped a few pics. thanks guys, sounds like less of an issue than i thought.

all of these were on top of both wings and were basically all over. more than just around the tanks. and, not my plane, one that is for sale and looks like it needs a lot of work.

why is that? I admit, I haven't been looking at K's, mainly because I absolutely don't need 6 cyl, but I have notices quite a few K's cheaper than J's. hhmmff. oh, and sorry to hijack. no I'm not. ok, yes I am.
