  1. Buy the plane. See if u can put a deposit down on the hangar so maybe they'll know you're serious.
  2. You're a good man, uh, candy man.
  3. This 'cause' being AOPA?
  4. http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/
  5. if it's $800 in Cali I would expect it to be roughly $50 anywhere else in the country. while I half kid, and am not sure the actual tax rate in NC, I have accounted for taxes in my mock expense spreadsheet.
  6. I visit my parents once or twice a year in boynton beach. could I reserve those weekends in advance?
  7. thanks peevee. I'll pm you my email address, I wouldn't mind taking a look at your docs. I feel like I have a much better handle on the operating agreement, although every little bit helps.
  8. he's talking about tapatalk ads. has nothing to do with MS. I'm a ms supporter do, don't get ads on my browser on my laptop but get ads on tapatalk.
  9. yep, I get that one. I used to not get ANY ads on TT, even when everyone else did (and I never paid the 'no ad' fee). then one day out of nowhere, BLAMO, I get zapped with big giant boobs ads
  10. yes, safe happy holidays!
  11. hate to be a pain, but let me try to understand what y'all are talking about around fuel. so, for the most part: people fly the plane people fill up, don't fill up, or fill up to x gallons your plane, or your LLC, or your hangar, or "you's guys", whatever, have an account with your home field. you call for fuel when you need, the bill gets sent to your account. at the end of the month, quarter, whatever your time period is, you take the total fuel bill, tally up everyone's hours and bill accordingly? and if that's correct, sounds like most of you are saying that's a better method than everyone just paying for their own fuel. interesting.
  12. George, any update on this plane? I was thinking, if it would help you out, we can cut out the middle man and have the owner donate it directly to me. I would do that, that's the kind of guy I am!
  13. When I recently went to San Fran I was gonna fly out there to look at this plane. It's nothing special but it's in my price range. What scared me a little is placerville seems to pump out a bunch of planes, not sure what's going on there.
  14. I'm having a hard time including fuel in anything that gets 'collected' as part of the partnership. I kind of envisioned you pay for your own fuel. Fill it up when done. I don't want to be handling anyone else's fuel expense.
  15. Very helpful Bob, thanks!
  16. Thanks for that info. As for fuel, you include that in the fee you collect each month? I'm assuming you top off at your home field after each flight? What if u take a trip and fill up elsewhere? Do I treat it like wet rate for a rental, where the cost to fill up elsewhere is reimbursed?
  17. A partnership situation has recently become significantly more realistic for myself plus 1-2 people. I know people here have offered their partnership agreements, rules, cost breakdowns etc but since I wasn't close to purchasing I never asked to see it. For those of you who have any of this information and would be willing to share it, it would be a big help. I'd like to tailor our rules/agreements based on whatever research I can find, plus AOPA resources etc... Feel free to PM me or share here. Thanks in advance, and I apologize if you are seeing this post in other forums as well, I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible.
  18. one of them isn't doing very well!
  19. I'm in denial.
  20. My name is eman1200, and I'm a renter.

  22. I think I'd take an OK (structurally sound) plane over nothing.
  23. it hurts to see the gear up pics
  24. my take is slightly different............how often will you have ANYONE in the backseat for ANY amount of time. if that is 'often', then J. I often fly 2 pax in cherokees (140/180) and if it's anyone other than a lil girl they are stretching across the back seat to try to find a way to be comfortable (not nearly as bad in an archer). mooneys might be a little different due to the need for at least the left seat to pull their seat pretty far up. otherwise, my limited experience flying in DrBill's E, there's usually enough room in the backseat for the dog we're flying a PnP mission for. personally, I know I don't NEED more than an E. also, most E's are in my price range. but so far I do fly 2 pax regularly, and I want my last plane first, hence I really really really want a J. just can't afford a good one lol. I should be getting exposure to an F in the near future. pretty weak panel but it's in my range and at least I'll see if the extra room is all it's cracked up to be.
