    I've never had a mechanic recommend seals at the first sign of oil, usually I've asked if it should be done and they say wait until it gets much worse.

    hadn't thought of that. makes sense. I know he doesn't like having big stuff out there on his card while he finishes the job and gets the invoice to us and gets paid etc. I hear about it often

    I'm sure every shop is different, but our guy seems to prefer we supply the parts, easier on his cash flow.

    I wonder what it would take to certify an add on active noise cancellation system. Maybe not too much. It would be an interesting problem for someone with the knowledge to work out.

    Bose also. I keep meaning to wear ear plugs too but I always forget to put some in my flight bag. Oh well. The real question is why are mooneys so loud?

    Northern routes a decent one, in the winter it gets hard as the winds get funneled through there and icing gets bad for some reason.

    We have a similar setup. It can be done better than ours.

    I used black on clear label tape for our label maker and then clear coated over it. Not ideal but acceptable

    An all in one solution would be nice. I'm tired of cobbled together 2010s tech with 2ks tech with 60s tech all "kind of" working together through 15 adapter boxes that it takes a avionics tech 5 hours to figure out if something goes wrong.

    I think the current thinking is we all have different opinions. Our panel is nice but it's FAR from perfect or the best. I often wonder if the g500 wouldn't have been better.

    That big one is a loran antenna? We still have one of those. Bet it's good for a knot or two.

    Affirmative. I did not know adding an additional sender was an option with the LR tanks.

    Painted and sanded one of these 3d printed eta covers. It's not perfect but I think it'll work ok. If a guy wet sanded it, it would probably look pretty decent.

    Thanks, I'm not certain the cies can help us with the monroys, you're not going to get accurate info above about 20 gallons any way you slice it (I think?) Anyway, another discussion for another thread.

    Dunno about the g1k but our avidyne needs a refresh every now and then. Don't know why.

    I have the same. We have one 4 foot florescent fixture so I got 2 led bulbs at Costco. Much brighter and I think about 18 bucks.

    I wish we had a square hangar that we could put a fridge and a couch and stuff in, it'd be neat to have a little lounge and a desktop computer to do nav data and stuff.

    I think I actually dug up your experience when I was looking into it for ours. I figured for a few dollars in carb cleaner and an hour of my time it was worth a shot.
