  1. I peek out at 18.3, I start to lean around 2000', and go with sum of 18 rule keeps me safely in the ROP. So for 3K ft, my target FF is 15 gph.
  2. I would think combustion would make its way around the threads because of a lack of a good seal, maybe cause seizing, or loss of torque.
  3. The strobe frequency is awfully low? Like 10 seconds between flashes.
  4. I guess I'm confused too, I think this was in reference to your post about an O3 out climbing a turbo.
  5. In the states we call that a shutter, a shitter is something else completely [emoji6]
  6. Just a guess, but maybe Mooneys unique landing gear system requires a softer tire.
  7. As long as you are careful not to be cutting in, forcing others to extend their patterns, I agree.
  8. Wouldn't a ground problem be seen in other erroneous sensor indications?
  9. One question, I'm curious how do you restore the original shape. The compression of the washer will cause it to thin out or mushroom, does the annealing process restore the shape?
  10. Does the oil temperature read ambient temperature when engine is cold?
  11. 1. I didn't quote you, if you feel insulted, that's your problem. 2. I stand by my statement, given the discussion about what kind of torch, copper vs steel...seems to me many don't know what they are doing, and would be better off spending the $4, that's all.
  12. For a lousy $3.60 for 8 washers, I would use new ones, but it's your life. If you want to save money, sell the plane!
  13. It's not about getting to altitude, it's about getting thru icing layer quickly, whats the climb rate of an O at 16000? I think FIKI is a must.
  14. Nope, they can handle 27 inches free drop, required by FAA certification.
  15. And don't reuse the copper washers!
  16. Maybe its having its annual or its 100 hr inspection, poor guy, cant afford a second 757, must be tough, no wonder he is looking for another job.
  17. The only way you can answer thus question is to find one and sit in it. Shouldn't be a problem finding one in TX
  18. I have Tempest massives and regularly run LOP without a problem. Cold and hot starts are all fine as well. Ditto, but I do take care not to run rich, severely lean during taxi ops and always cruise LOP.
  19. My WX10 doesn't show lightning strikes left or right of me, it does show phantom strikes forward and aft, how is yours?
  20. I was thinking you priced it a little low, doesn't surprised me it sold so quickly.
  21. Has your landings improved?
  22. But you have a short body, I've said this before, different models can have different characteristics, don't paint all models with your 1 experience in a C. IF I had a C and was moving up to a mid body/long body I would get some Mooney specific transition training.
  23. Par36 are 4.5 inches...so for that to be right, 36 would need to be 3 in + 6*1/4 in.
