well looks like you are getting somewhere, do not have data logging on my EDM 700, looking at the intake, check the spouts that run into the oil sump, blue stain shows leak, there is a Lycoming tool to swedge the bead in the short spouts so they seal against the oil sump again, tighten all clamps on rubber connectors of the intake tubes, baffles should press snug against the cowl, replacing dead pieces and sealing all nooks and crannies with RTV can really drop CHT, any light that shines through the baffles indicates lost ram air, keep pushing and your bird will be fine tuned on no time

High carbon monoxide levels…help!
LANCECASPER replied to IntoTheVhoid's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
Although I agree with everything that has been said about the door seals, I would also go back to anything that has changed recently on your airplane. You mention, "I’ve recently had a new (factory remanufactured) engine installed, new hoses, etc.". I would also make sure that you don't have issues up there. It's not unheard of to have a bad exhaust gasket. Did they replace the entire exhaust system? On a Bravo I had there was a crack in the "Y" in the tail pipe that was leaking. Many times this high of a reading is a combination of cabin seals (door mainly) and something going on up front, but I wouldn't rule anything out yet. -
Mooney Lycoming riveted turbo v clamp.

I'm glad he was able to find one. I was reminded many years ago that if you paid $200,000 for the airplane you're not maintaining a $200,000 airplane. You're maintaining a 20-30 year old version (more likely to need replacements parts) of an $800,000 airplane (what it would cost to build today). Just like if you pay $10,000 for a 10 year old car that cost $50,000 when new - the price you paid for the car doesn't make the replacement parts any less expensive. In aviation the cost of tooling is spread over far fewer parts - that's one reason. The other more expensive reason is liability. Let's say they sell 1000 parts and they get sued for $1,000,000. They have to spread the cost of their exposure (liability insurance) over those parts. None of us like it - but eventually you accept it or you get out of flying. -
In mine the stall is continuous and the gear is intermittent/pulsed.

Do you still have the electronic tach. Will it fit an early C model? PM me please. -
Keep going!

Includes a backup: "a simple Aithre fixed flow 47L oxygen bottle is provided with the kit for emergency backup. This lightweight carbon fiber composite bottle provides for 2 hours of continuous flow at approximately 0.5 LPM for an added layer of safety."

Thanks for the input so far. But would be cool to see some of your flights’ data and compare. Yesterday my plane was looked at and an induction leak was confirmed on nr5 cylinder. Something that Savvy predicted based on my data. The gasket was completely destroyed and the induction manifold was covered in telltale blue stains. (see pic) The flight I shared was prior to that being fixed. Since Savvy saw a problem I’m just curious how my data compares to everyone else. Perhaps that leak was not the only problem. Perhaps how my EGTs behave during various phases of flight might show something else. But I’m also getting the “too much data for such a crude machine” line, and that I can’t expect temps to behave exactly to expectations. Well, one the hand I agree and entirely see the point but on the other hand seems like data can indeed show a problem and it’s not just variability. So again, would be really cool if we could compare a bit. Especially those of you who have a very nicely tuned Bravo, something that’s very hard to get to over here in Europe with so little expertise available. Don’t be shy, you can share also just in a private message, I will not abuse your privacy. Just really am looking for more data and trying to establish a baseline expectation for my plane.

Interesting that they got rid of the headrests, I would have thought that wasn’t allowed. The question is will either sell even close to their asking price.

I would love to give this a read as well.

I believe in the J, the gear alert is continuous, just a different pitch. I'll have to test that at some point.
-
Keep in mind that the gear Sonalert is intermittent NOT continuous like the stall. If you just touched the wire to the terminal to test and did not immediately a tone you might come to the wrong conclusion!

Im sorry I do not, buddy just took it last week.

Do you still have the remaining Zeftronics G1500N generator controller. Mine’s only controlling at 13 volts now. Pm me please.

Add me to the list as well. -
That is a VERY nice 201. The E that I'm looking at is better equipped avionics wise with similar engine time, but does not have new paint. And the E is $65K cheaper.

I didn’t have any plug in power available at first and used a Jackery 300 from Walmart and it was good for two 3 hr trips. I’ve since gotten a cigarette lighter socket installed and now use one of these. Starlink Mini Power Cable

Local priority $65/mo is good for 350 mph. If you leave the US, ie Bahamas, you’ll need Global Priority at $250/mo. The roam plan is only good up to 100 mph.

Every loose Skybolt pin I have had was also bent due to it being too short. YMMV.

bradp started following GFC500 GSA28 servo replacement

I’ve been replacing them as they failed. One a year for the last few years. I had my YD go first. Then on two sequential trips home from Oshkosh, I lost my pitch trip and pitch servos. Just yesterday I had the roll servo finally go. So I guess that answers that question

No, no, no! You're forgetting about the four 1/4" bolts at the trimming hinge that we all had to inspect a few years ago . . . - Yesterday

Has everyone already registered for the 2025 MooneyMax. I found the Whoova site is just as bad as it was last year. I am surprised a bunch of folks just opt not to go, rather than deal with Whoova. I had to sign in two nonexistent "buyers" before it would let me register. Thank goodness MooneyMax is worth it.
