Sporty's just updated its E6B app for the iPad to include, among other things, weight and balance. Don't know for sure but I think they did it with the Android version also.

Lots of W & B programs out there.

If you haven't tried the one offered on Fltplan.com, you're missing a really good one!

It has most of the Mooney models' templates (probably all of them by now) and all you have to do is input your particular Mooney's numbers and it stores it forever. If you have access ot the Internet, you can do a hassle-free W & B.

I have an Excel spreadsheet that Google helped me find. Then I modified it with my own empty weight & CG. Works well.

I made a whole page of various loading schemes and saved it for quick reference [including some that are overweight and/or out of CG just so I would know that it's possible]; anything close to gross or CG limits gets quickly re-figured.

Thanks for the input. I tried the Fltplan.com app and it worked like a charm.

Again, thanks everyone for the input.

Best regards,
Jonathan Bodine

I recently purchased Aviation W&B for next to nothing. It allows you to input the specific data for your airplane(s) then input loads and locations. It seems to be a great and inexpensive app. If you carry an iPhone/iPad mini, and/or iPad- one download suffices for all your Apple products.
