Brittain parts

I still need a few parts for the altitude hold/pitch control systems. I need part #1895 pitch/alt on/off panel; 20022 pitch trim indicator; 11353 altitude reference chamber; 2982 5" servos (need 2 servos); and the pitch trim valve (don't know part #). I have a Brittain B-5 autopilot in my 68F that works great other than the altitude hold. I have played with it a couple of times but no luck.

I have manual trim so I was wondering if it was even possible to have altitude hold or are they just dummy buttons on the auto pilot for airplanes equipped with electric trim.

Also I only have 22 hours in the new to me Mooney. I called the previous owner to ask but he will not answer my calls or return my messages.

The B5 is a different system than mine, which is a B11 & B12. The altitude hold will work with manual trim.

Why not contact Brittain directly for parts or service. I understand they are quite cooperative. http://www.brittainautopilots.com/

They are great to deal with (Brittain) but they do not normally have systems availalbe for install.  They will repair/overhaul your system.  They are located in Tulsa.

Thanks guys, I've worked with Brittain, and they are very helpful. Unfortunately, these parts are hard to come by, and my best bet is to find someone who has them. Even if they need to be overhauled I'm still interested, since Brittain will repair or overhaul any of their components.

Unfortunately some of their tooling has been lost or rusted to the point it is no longer usable.

FYI, I posted a link in the classifieds to an ad on Beechtalk for a complete Brittain system for sale.  It might have some valuable components for Mooney owners too.
