Recently purchased nice 1968 M20F.  Annual is due in March and I need to find experienced Mooney mechanic.  Would appreciate your personal recommendations.   Ideally, am looking for someone in South Alabama, West Georgia, or North Florida.

Thanks.

I'd recommend not only finding a mechanic who speaks Mooney, but is willing to allow owner assisted annuals. If you have the time, you'll gain a wealth of  knowledge and become very familiar with the bird you'll be trusting your life to. You'll be glad when you're able distinguish abnormal noises and troubleshoot small problems in flight.

There is a guy down in Marianna that speaks Mooney. He has works on them and also owns a E I think. Sometimes he is hard to schedule because he also does EMS flying also. His name is Walter Marques.

Not exactly in the area you requested, but it's a Mooney, won't take long to get it there.  Rogers Air Craft in John's Island, S.C.  (Charleston Exec).  He took care of my '75 F for several years before I bought it and I have complete confidence in his work.  If I weren't so close to Lone Star and Dugosh, I'd probably take mine back to him when needed.
