I just wrapped up installing a new Hartzell two blade "top prop" on my 1987 M20J yesterday while we were having a big storm here in Hawaii.  I woke up today to skies clearer than I have seen in years and we went up for a test flight this afternoon.  It did seem to pick up around 2-3 knots at cruise and was noticably quieter.


Then we went up north to a rarely used field Upolu Airport and put some VERY LARGE grins on our faces by making high speed passes over the runway.  I don't think I have ever had so much fun in my Mooney.  Coming over the field at 50 feet at 175KTS is amazing!  Then the near vertical climbout afterward is exhilirating!
