Bennett Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 In an earlier thread discussing the Dynon portable EFIS, I mentioned that I dropped the unit - totally my fault, and that I contacted Dynon to ask for a RA number stating that it was my clumliness that casued the damage. I fully expected tp pay (quite a bit) to repair the damage. I just received a brand new D1 from Dynon, at no charge to me. I've dealt with Dynon in my LSA days, and found them to be an outstanding company to work with. Let us hope that the D1 will be followed by other "portable" products As much as I like my Garmin avionics, I doubt if they would have proved me with a new 796 if I dropped my unit. Quote
M016576 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 It's nice to *finally* hear of an avionics company doing right by their customers! That's a huge plug for Dynon: glad to know that at least one company is helping out the ga market place without the seemingly prerequisite price gouging! Quote
