TheLazyC Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 When I purchase my 78 M20J last month the step behind the wing was missing. With children and me being short, I really need the step. Not sure how it is supposed to be attached and if you can get another one. The previous owner said "it was cut off to increase speed" Quote
KSMooniac Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Call LASAR and they'll be able to fix you up. Quote
OR75 Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 you should be able to see where it is bolted if you open the panel to access the tail cone / battery compartment. The easiest may be to order it as a part from a MSC. In the parts catalog, you can see the parts you need in section 53-60-00 (let me know if the you the 2 pages e-mailed to you.) Quote
KSMooniac Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 If it was truly cut off, then LASAR can help you with a mod to re-install one into the leftover tube. If it was simply un-bolted, then perhaps you can buy a new or used one and bolt it into place. Hopefully you'll still have a hole in the belly skin where it goes, too. Quote
M20Fan Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 On the early J models, the step was an option. It may not have been cut off. Quote
