HopePilot Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Byron, When you set for 23 degrees did you start with a 25 degree mag and retard to 23 degrees, or start with a 25 degree mag that was rebuilt for 23 degrees? I'm still not getting this. Sorry.
jetdriven Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 I used the stock Slick mags that came with the engine. It came delivered at 20 degrees, but the airplane got faster during break-in, and we discovered it was at 23 degrees after 65 hours. We set it to 25 degrees and lt slowed down. Then back to 23. Then swapped the Slick mags to Bendix 1200s
