Modern and capable Garmin IFR cross-country platform with GFC 500 autopilot and dual GI-275s. Plane flies often so times will go up. 145 KTAS on 9.5 gph. Strong engine with no issues. Not a beauty queen but very capable of real-world cross-country flights with approaches flown in actual IMC down to minimums. I use this plane for carrying friends and family, and completed my instrument, commercial and CFI/I training in this plane. I am a CFI/I that can provide transition training to a buyer if requested. question, if it's a capable and solid plane, why give it away at 63k?  the avionics cost that

If the paint is as rough as he's saying, a new paint job is $30k. It has no speed mods. The fuel tanks were resealed in 2001, so it's 24 years old, very likely a reseal is on the short-term horizon, that's $5-7k. Engine is high-time, compressions look surprisingly awesome so it might go over TBO but it might not, and that's a $50k+ job, so in the next 1-2 years you're looking at possibly having to put $85k into it, which at $63k is $148k invested. Take away the paint and $118k short-term horizon if you fast-forwarded to the market of a great panel with rough paint and a fresh engine sounds about right, if a bit on the higher side but you never get 100% out of what you put in.

Thanks, guys. Just to be crystal clear, the airplane doesn't need any of the above modifications/fixes right now (or in my opinion, in the very near future). There are no fuel leaks, the engine runs excellently with a Blackstone oil analysis done at each oil change, and I've never deferred any maintenance items. If you are concerned about cosmetics then a buyer may want to consider new paint, but I've always focused my AMUs on non-cosmetic upgrades/fixes. If I didn't have a baby coming soon, I would be keeping the plane and continuing to fly it frequently as-is.

I think the plane is priced aggressively and fairly. I don't want it to languish on the classifieds for months and would love to see it go to a great home. If there are any other price-related questions, please feel free to send me a PM.

I sold my F a year ago for ~$80k.  It was very similar to this E.  Times, tanks, etc.  paint might have been a little better and I had an edm930, but I didn’t have a gfc500.  This seems a reasonable price if not a little low, but we’ll see how long it takes and if a prebuy reveals anything.  The prebuy on my F came up with a missing tooth on the engine side of the engine/starter gear… and that was it.

Good luck with the sale!

It's had a lot done to it since I had it, that's for sure.  Been through a lot of hands in 5 years.
